How we live and work will be augmented through various AI-powered tools. What used to take years of training can now be done in days or even hours. Now, we are all creators. What better way to learn about how to use these tools and explore new ways to incorporate AI into our workflows than an art project?

STEP 1: Storytelling
With OpenAI’s new custom versions of ChatGPT that combine instructions, extra knowledge and capabilities for a specific purpose, the project trained one called Meta Culture People. The GPT is configured to tell fascinating stories about people based on four key pieces of information from the user.
STEP 2: Synthetic Portrait
The project fed the stories created by the custom GPT into Midjourney. The key information from the stories was combined with various preference parameter presets to get life-like portraits. The presets included style, environment and lighting parameters and contributed to getting the final distinctive portrait look.
STEP 3: Voice
The stories are elevated with voice using various synthetic characters available in WondercraftAI. The input text was adjusted where needed for a more pronounced output.
STEP 4: Emotions
Over time, portraits will brought to life with the Motion Brush tool available in RunwayML.
